Add On Bread
1 Loaf of Bread
1 Large Onion
1 small can Tomato Paste
2 c Tomato juice
½ c sliced Lindsay Olives
Cashew Cheese (recipe below)
Place a layer of bread slices in a deep
baking dish to cover the bottom. Spread
with tomato paste and then with cashew
cheese or tofu dressing. Place another
layer of bread slices on top and spread
the same. Make as many layers as you
like and pour tomato juice over them.
On the top layer that has the tomato
and cashew cheese sprinkle the chopped
onions and decorate with olives. If you
want it more crunchy put onions on each
layer. Cover and bake 45 minutes at 350 degrees.
Salad Dressing
Tofu Med 454g
1/8 c water
½ t salt to taste
¼ t onion powder
¼ t garlic powder
¼ c fresh tomato
¼ c fresh red bell pepper
¼ c fresh lemon juice to taste
2 T olive oil
Blend the ingredients, except the lemon
juice until smooth. Pour into glass jar and
gently stir lemon juice into it and cover.
Salad topping
½ c cashews raw, washed
¼ c pineapple juice
½ t salt to taste
¼ t onion powder
¼ t garlic powder
½ c celery
¼ c fresh lemon juice, to taste
Put everything in the blender except
the lemon juice until smooth. Pour
into glass jar and gently stir in the
lemon juice. Cover to store in fridge.
Tamale Pie
3 ¾ – 4 cups water salt to your taste
With 1 cup cornmeal
¼ cup cashew powder
1 small can tomato paste
¼ cup chopped onion
¼ cup chopped celery
1 cup frozen corn
1 cup favorite vegetable
½ cup olives sliced
¼ cup tofu cheese dressing
Wash raw cashews and sort.
Mix cashews with cornmeal and
add to salt water.
Bring to a boil stirring constantly.
Turn heat down and keep stirring
until done. Pour into baking dish
or pie pan an inch or more thick.
If you like the cornmeal firm then
don’t use as much water. Spread
with the tomato paste. Put a nice
layer of frozen corn over the tomato.
I like to leave the edge of red tomato
showing for color. Put your favorite
vegetable on top of the corn leaving
an edge. Sprinkle with onions and
then with celery. In a decorative
manner place the olives in circles
and sprinkle tofu cheese on top.
Cover and bake for half an hour
at 350. When serving sprinkle
with olive oil.
Tofu Cheese
1 package of tofu
Med or soft
2-3 T pimento
1 inch celery
¼ t salt suit yourself
3 dates chopped
3 T lemon juice
¼ cup raw cashews (washed)
¼ t onion powder
¼ t garlic powder
1t sesame seeds
Put a few T of pineapple juice in the
blender. Put the ingredients in the
blender but not the lemon and tofu.
Run the blender until cashews are
powder. Put the tofu on top and
run until smooth. Pour into jar
and pour the lemon in. Use a
spoon to gently stir in the
lemon.
Garden Fresh
1 Large tomato
1 cucumber
1 Large avocado
12 Lindsay olives sliced
1 T onion chopped
Cube the vegetables.
Toss and top with home made cashew cream.
Melon Delight
1 c honeydew
1 c cantaloupe
2 c watermelon
2 c pineapple
1 c mango
Cut watermelon in two lengthwise.
Dice or ball out the center of the
watermelon. Dice or ball the fruit,
mix and fill the watermelon bowl.
Serve immediately.
MM Bananas
2 Bananas
8 pecans
Blend until smooth and immediately eat
as custard or topping on cooked oats.
Patty Pan Squash
Cook two inch patty pans about 20 minutes or
until soft. Slice through the center so they still
have their pretty flower shape. Sprinkle with
salt and olive oil. Serve hot!
Several Grains Bread
12 oz. Hot water
½ t salt
5 dates chopped
3 T olive oil
1 T flax seed
½ c quinoa flour
½ c triticale flour
½ c rye flour
½ c gluten powder
2 c whole wheat flour
1 t yeast
Mix first five ingredients well. Stir the rest of the dry things
in another bowl and add to the moisture bowl. Knead and
let rise for an hour and knead again. Put in bread pan and
let it rise. Bake at 350 for one hour. Some climates require
more or less as well as some ovens heat differently so watch it.
Fruit Topping
1 c cashew raw washed
½ c pineapple juice
2 dates
1T coconut cream
1/8 t salt
Blend until smooth and top the fruit.
Dressnoturk
1 loaf ww bread diced
1 stick celery chopped fine
1 large onion chopped
1/2 c almonds
1/2 c raw cashews (washed)
1/4 t sage
1/4 t oregano
1/2 t salt
2 Walnuts chopped
1/2 t Garlic & onion powder to taste.
Powder the nuts.
Mix together and pour enough water ,
2 or 3 cups, over to moisten. Some like it
crunchy and some like it soupy. Cover and
bake for 1 hour or more at 350, at different climate
you may need a higher heat.
